Numark NS7 2 Info And Details
NS7 Price – Looking at $1500 and £1200 respectively
Release date of the Numark NS7 – It is hipping in the UK/Europe in June 2013, so expect it a bit earlier in USA
Further details about the specifics of new functions and features are below!
The Numark NS7 was a real hit when it was launched in 2008 with many DJs thanks to its unique mix of old skool with new technology, so what does the new Numark NS7 2 have to offer:
(check out –> New DJ Controllers !)
Numark NS7 2 – New Features
16 Akai MPC Pads
Pads are all the rage these days with DJ controllers and the NS7 2 does not disappoint. These pads are backlit and can be assigned to 5 different modes, yep FIVE.
You can assign them to hotcues, autoloop/roll, manual loop, sampler or slice. Even better there are static hotcue buttons elsewhere so you can combine hotcues and slicer if you wish!
RGB Illumination
As a purely funky visual feature you can make these pads change colour to suit your mood or DJ style. A nice if uneccesary feature but many people (even me) like to customize their gear.
Rotary Touch
Knobs are made for turning, yes? Well Numark have added a neat twist with the NS7 2. Say you want to turn a filter on or off you can simply touch/press the rotary knob and hey presto, filter is now on/off. This makes things much easier!
4 decks
Version 2 of the Ns7 now has 4 decks!
Serato DJ Software
This excellent bit of software is included with the controller and Numark promises the best integration yet!
Numark Ns7 2 Final Say
With the advances in DJ controller technology it is now perfect timing by Numark to release a new version of the NS7, the new features are definitely exciting, the MPC pads should be a unique selling point.
By the looks of things, the Ns7 2 is just as large and tank like as the original, so should promise top notch reliability and build quality. There are still 7 inch motorized jogwheels which will please many people as it does have that touch of retro about it (thus the attraction to many DJs).
Again the Numark Ns7 2 will again function as an independent mixer so if you want to plug in your CDJs or other turntables then you can.

Lovely kit, hope it wont be as heavy as the first NS7
It is indeed DJ Lynxx. From what I can gather it will actually be slightly heavier than the original NS7. So might not be an ideal DJ controller for the more mobile of DJs!
The question is when will it be released for purchase? I can’t wait
In the UK stores, they are expecting it be shipped in June. But others say it may be later. The controller that they had on show in NAMM was not really usable , so many think it will be December or later.
Best get saving!!
